Basic Course

You need Basic Drone Certification if you are conducting the following:

  • You fly in uncontrolled airspace
  • You fly more than 30 metres (100 feet) horizontally from bystanders
  • You never fly over bystanders

Advanced Course

You need Advanced Drone Certification if you are conducting the following:

  • You fly in controlled airspace
  • You fly around the airport or heliport
  • You fly less than 30 metres (100 feet) horizontally from bystanders
  • You fly over bystanders
